Police arrested three leaders and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir while they were holding a ‘clandestine meeting’ at no.1 Koyra in Koyra upazila on Friday night.The arrestees were identified as Aiyub Ali, president of the district (South) unit of the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, and Ahsanul Kabir, 20, and Gazi Moral, 22.Harendranath Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Koyra Police Station, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a raid on the house of one Wazed Ali in the area and arrested the trio while they were holding a secret meeting there at about 11:30 pm. Police also recovered one shutter gun, two cartridges and three crude bombs from the house.However, their other associates fled the scene sensing the presence of the law enforcers.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Khulna
