TANGAIL: Three siblings among five were killed and three others injured as a pick up van turned turtle after being chased by hartal supporters in Agbikromhati on Dhaka-Tangail highway of the district on Thursday morning.The deceased were identified as three brothers–Nazim Uddin, 55, Nazrul Islam, 53 and Anwar, and Delwar Hossain, 48 and Kalu, 40.
Highway Police Seargent Kamruzzaman Raz said, “A pick up van turned turtle in the area after hartal supporters chased it and hurled brick chips, leaving five dead on the spot and three others injured.
The injured were rushed to Tangail General Hospital.
