Dhaka – Three women were crushed under an unknown vehicle on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Sonapahar area of Mirsarai upazila in Chittagong early Monday.The deceased were identified as Peyara Akhter, 37, wife of Ohidul Haque, Sajeda Begum, 55, wife of Dudu Miah, and Peyara Begum, 35, wife of Jaj Miah of Brahmanbaria.Sub-inspector Farid Uddin, in-charge of Jorarganj Police Station, said that the vehicle hit them on the highway around 1 am while they were returning from ‘Rahmania Darbar Sharif’ after attending a mahfil, leaving the trio dead on the spot.On information, police recovered the bodies.UNB agency
