The Opposition alliance has called for a 36-hour strike in Bogra from Sunday.District BNP President Saiful Islam announced the strike on Friday for not including the name of BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman in the voter list and to protest ‘police torture’ on party activists.
The opposition will also hold protest rallies in 12 Upazilas, he said.
BNP-led 18-Party alliance observed a countrywide 71-hour blockade from Tuesday to protest announcement of polls schedule.
