4 bodies retrieved as boat sinks in Sandwip Channel

Dhaka – Coast Guard members recovered four bodies early Saturday after a boat, carrying at least 55 passengers, capsized in the Sandwip Channel in Chittagong on Sunday night.At least 25 passengers went missing after the boat sank in the channel of the Bay of Bengal near Guptachhara ghat amid bad weather around 6:15pm on Sunday, said Shamsul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sandwip Police Station.The Coast Guard members retrieved the bodies of Sachindra Jaldas, 47, Boroda Jaldas, 55, Salauddin, 30, in between 1:30am and 2am, while that of another unidentified man in the morning, the OC added.He said 11 people are still missing.UNB news agency
