Six people, including four cops, were injured in a bomb attack on the law enforcers in the city’s Mouchak area on Tuesday evening. Witnesses said 5-6 powerful bombs were hurled targeting the policemen stationed under the footbridge near Fortune Shopping Mall around 6pm.The bombs went off with a big bang, leaving the six people injured. The injured policemen were identified as constables Shahidul, Aminul, Quamrul and Ibrahim. The two other injured — a woman and a rickshaw-puller -– could not be identified yet.
Soon after the blasts, the policemen went on a shooting spree firing around 60-70 shots in the air. – UNB
