4-day Program of Disabled People’s Orgs begins

Dhaka, Sept 29 – The National Alliance of Disabled People’s Organisations (NADPO) has started a 4-day programme to press their 5 demands beginning on Sunday through a press conference at the National Press Club Dhaka. The programme will continue till October 2, says a press release.The programme includes a human chain in front of the National Press Club from 10 am to 12 noon today (Sunday) by members of the alliance (NADPO).
On Monday a rally will be organised at the at the North-East corner of the National Press Club. The Participants of the rally will go round the Bangladesh Secretariat and end at the NE corner of the Press Club. Disability rights champion and president of NADPO will lead the rally.
The four-day programme will conclude with a mass-contact rally to be organised at the South Plaze of the Bangladesh Parliament Complex. Participants of the rally will proceed through the Mirpur Road to New Market and go to the Dhaka South City Corporation via Dhaka University Gate.
The NADPO members will then proceed towards Gulistan and from there move to Rajuk Avenue, Dainik Bangla crossing, Motijheel, Shapla Chattar, Fakirer Pool, Naya Paltan, Kakrail mosque, Matsya Bhaban and disperse at Topkhana Road on the other side of the Press Club.
