Dhaka -Detectives arrested four suspected female militants along with six crude bombs, huge jihadi (religious uprising) books and bomb-making materials from Masumpur area in Sadar upazila in Sirajganj early Sunday morning.The arrestees were identified as Nadira Tabassum,30, wife of Mahbubul Alam, Habiba Akter Nishu,18, wife of Khalid Hasan, Nurun Nahar Begum,19, wife of Mamunul Islam, and Romana Akter,21, wife of Sujon Ahmed Bijoy– all hailing from Comilla, Kushtia and Gaibandha districts,UNB news agency reported.Officer-in-charge of Sirajganj Detective Branch (DB) of police Wahiduzzaman said tipped off that a group of female militants was staying in the area for planning to carry out subversive activities, a team of DB police launched a drive there at about 5:30am.The law enforcers arrested the four and recovered six crude bombs, huge jihadi (religious uprising) books and bomb-making materials from their possession.
