Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested four alleged drug peddlers, including three women, along with 288 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from SI Bus Counter on the New Dhaka Road of the district town on Saturday.The arrestees, identified as Alal Uddin, 25, son of late Alhaj Munshi, and Nazma,45, wife of Shamsul, hail from Charghat upazila of Rajshahi while the rest two Hamida, 60, wife of late Bablu Miah and Sharmin, 25, wife of Abu Sayed, from Boneshwar area in Puthiya upazila of the same district. Rab-12 sources said a team of the elite force, on a tip-off, conducted a raid on the bus counter around 11:00am and arrested the four along with the drugs.
