Four jute godowns were gutted by a fire at Konabari Notun Bazar area of Gazipur yesterday morning.Being informed, two fire fighters from Kaliakoir rushed to the spot and controlled the fire after one hour with the help of local people, Joydebpur fire service station officer Hasibur Rahman said.The fire originated from a godown of Ali Hossain and soon engulfed the adjacent godowns at 5 am, he added.The affected jute godown owners claimed that the extent of the loss caused by the fire is Tk 25 lakh. -BSS, Gazipur
