Four people were killed and seven others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a human-hauler on the Chapainawabganj-Sonamosjid Road in Shibganj upazila on Tuesday night.
Three of the deceased were identified as Rhidoy, 26, of Lakherajpara of the district town, Arif, 35, of Chhatrajitpur and Russell of Rasulpur in Shibganj upazila.
Police and hospital sources said the moving wheat-laden truck collided with the human-hauler (Laguna) coming from the opposite direction at Beltala around 10:00pm, leaving human hauler passenger Arif dead on the spot and 10 others injured.
The injured were taken to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital where doctors declared two people, including Rhidoy, dead.
Of the injured, five people, including Russell, were shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) as their condition deteriorated.

At least 32 passengers were injured in a road accident at Vimpur crossing on the Phulbari-Rangpur road under Phulbari upazila of the district on Tuesday.
Police said the accident occurred when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving 32 passengers injured.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals of the district. -BSS, Dinajpur
