Four people were killed and 25 others sustained injuries when a bus fell in a roadside ditch at the Noy Mile area in Mirpur upazila of Kushtia early Thursday.
Identities of the deceased and injured could not be known immediately.
Ashish Bin Hassan, assistant superintendent (Veramara circle) of Mirpur police, said the Faridpur-bound bus lost control and fell into a roadside ditch at around 3:30am. The injured were rushed to Kushtia General Hospital.
Two of the injured passengers are in critical condition, the officer said.
