Dhaka – River police arrested four alleged robbers along with two sharp weapons from Farashganj area on the Buriganga riverbank in Keraniganj upazila on the outskirts of the capital early Wednesday.The arrestees are: identified as Shahjahan, 55, Mashiur Rahman, 50,Atiar Rahman, 42 and Rahim, 35,UNB news agency reported.Acting on a tip-off, a team of Hasanbad police outpost under South Keraniganj Police Station conducted the drive in the area in the dead of night and arrested the four while they were preparing for committing robbery, said sub-inspector Samsul Alam, in charge of the outpost.Police also recovered two sharp weapons from their possession.
