5 food-store punish TK 23 thousand at JU

The authority of Bangabandhu Shiekh Mujibur Rahman Hall Jahangirnagar University (JU) punished TK 23 thousand on Monday of five food-shops for unhygienic food supply at ‘Bottola’ area of the campus.Witnesses said, `At about 10.30pm Teachers came to visit the food-shops and found the environments of those shops were unhygienic, selling nasty food and also they were not maintaining price chart. For this, these shops were punished.’
Among the shop owners, Shanto was fined TK 10 thousand for steering unapproved shop, Abdul Latif and Jaheer each TK 5 Thousand for unhygienic environment, Abdul Kader TK two thousand and Md Saber were fined TK one thousand.
Assistant Prof of Bangla department, also residential teacher of Bangabandhu hall Mohammad Mamun-Ur-Rashid said the journalist, ’we would continue sudden operation at the food-shop under our hall. If any student drop allegation we suddenly go in action.’
Among others, residential teacher of Bangabandhu hall, Habibur Rahman, also Lecturer of Statistics department, present on the quick operation.
Mentionable that, more than 100 food-shop were on Bottola area of the campus, maintaining by such respective hall authority. Students are allege that the shops are not following price chart and are not maintaining the quality of food.
