Police in a drive arrested five alleged drug peddlers along with 500
grams of hemp at Kalishankarpur village in Mohammadpur upazila early
Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Shahid, 45, Sohel, 25, Abul Bashar,
32, Parvez, 19, and Shahabuddin, 20.
Officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station Monirul Islam said on
secret information, a team of police conducted a drive at the house of
Manjur Hossain in Kalishankarpur village on Monday midnight and
arrested the five.
Police also recovered 500 grams of hemp from the house.
The arrestees were produced before a court that sent them to jail,
