Five people were injured in a clash between two groups of people on a picnic over distributing food at Majherpara in the town on Friday night.Saiful Islam, officer-in-chage of Chuadanga sadar police station, said Najar Ali, Hira, Maruf, Razzak and Sharif received wounds when two groups of people on a picnic arranged by Nabin Prabin Jagoran Shangho locked in a clash at 11pm.
The clash ensued when Maruf and Najar locked in an altercation over food distribution, leaving five people injured.A chase and counter chase took place between the two groups before police brought the situation under control.Hira, one of the victims, was sent to the Sadar Hospital.Hira alleged that anomaly was seen in food distribution of the picnic leading to the clash.No case was filed in this connection.Police said they would take actions if any case was lodged. -UNB, Chuadanga
