Five persons were killed in separate incidents in Shibganj upazila of
the district on Monday.
Three of the victims were identified as Sufal, 25, Modon, 23 and
Santosh, 28. All they are sweepers.
Police said the incident happened while they were washing a septic
tank in a house at Umarpur village under Shyampur union of Shibganj
upazila in the district. They died by toxic gas in the septic tank.
Later, locals recovered the bodies.
In another incident, two minor boys were killed by lightning in
Shibganj upazila on the same day, the sources added.
