Some 15 shops were gutted as a fire broke out at Kachari Bazar in Sadar upazila early Tuesday.Officer-in-charge of Kishoreganj Model Police Station Mosharraf Hossain said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at a shop around 5:00 am and it soon engulfed the adjoining business establishments.On information, a firefighting unit rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after two hours of frantic efforts with the locals.The extent of loses caused by the fire was estimated at Tk 50 lakh, said Kachari Bazar Byabasayee Samity general secretary AFM Fakhrul Hossain. -UNB, Kishoreganj
