JCD dissidents demand withdrawal of expulsions

The disident leaders of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal yesterday demanded withdrawal of expulsion order against three JCD leaders, removal of BNP student affairs secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie and assistant secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku and cancellation of new committee of the organisation.The show caused JCD leaders made the demands while they appeared at party central office to explain their position during the agitation.
“We have spoken about our involvement in the attack on Mural of party founder late President Ziaur Rahman during recent agitation and attack on Annie and Tuku,” said a dissident leader who was show caused along with others.
He said they had no involvement in the violent activities; rather supporters of Annie and Tuku attacked their car on November 7.
The JCD leader warned that they would not take responsibility if any incident takes place unless the party does not withdraw expulsion order against three JCD leaders—Anisur Rahman. The show caused seven JCD leaders yesterday went to the party office at about 4:00pm with a procession.
They chanted slogans demanding withdrawal of expulsion of JCD leaders and removal of Annie and Tuku. – Staff Reporter
