7 killed as autorickshaw crashed under bus in Comilla

Seven people, including two children, were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Chouddagram upazila on Tuesday evening.
The six of the deceased were identified as Kulsum, 35, Rozina, 25, and her daughter Sumaiya, 7, of Narayanpur village in the upazila, Jesmin, 35, wife of Abdur Rauf, her daughter Dolly, 5, and auto-rickshaw driver Feroz Miah, 25, son of Kobbat Miah of Amangonda village in the same upazila.Highway police super (East Zone) Rezaul Karim said the accident took place around 6:30pm when the Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Unique Paribahan’ collided with the auto-rickshaw at Noya Bazar, leaving seven people dead on the spot.
All the victims were the occupants of the three-wheeler, he said.
On information, police recovered the bodies and took those to Noya Bazar Highway Police camp.
