Six members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were injured in a road accident at Kanabil crossing on the Kushtia-Bheramara road in the district town Sunday morning.
BGB sources said the accident occurred when a pick-up van carrying the BGB members hit a roadside tree in the area around 6 am as one of its tyre got punctured, leaving six persons injured.
Critically injured Subedar Mahiuddin, Lance Nayek Shafiul Islam and Obaidul, and Sepoy Abdul Halim were taken to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka by a helicopter. -BSS, Kushtia
