6 JMB suspects with arms, munitions held in capital

Dhaka -Six alleged members of Jama’atul Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB), an outlawed militant organization, have been arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an overnight drive. Huge firearms and explosives were recovered from different areas in the capital.RAB media wing director Commander Mufti Muhammad Mahmud Khan said that they are being quizzed at RAB headquarters.
He said, of arrested JMB members one oversees the administrative side of the militants’ website ‘attamkinn’ and five others are members of JMB’s “sleeper cell.”
The RAB members also seized huge firearms, bullets, improvised explosive devices and explosives from their possession.
Identities of the arrestees could not be known immediately. Details about the drive will be informed at a press briefing later, the Rab headquarters said. – News Desk
