6 killed in N’ganj bus-truck collision, Sirajgnaj road crash

Three people, including two female garment workers, were killed and 30 others injured as a bus collided with a truck at Simrail under Siddhirganj Police Station in the city on Monday morning.
In another accident in Borogoja area on the Hatikumrul-Bonpara Highway in Tarash upazila on Sunday night at least three people were killed and another was injured, according to reports.One of the deceased in the Siddhirganj accident was identified as Munna, driver of the bus, while the identify of the two garment workers could not be ascertained immediately.
Officer-in-charge of Siddhirganj Police Station Abdul Matin said an Adamzi EPZ-bound bus with over 30/35 garment workers on board collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction on the Demra road at about 7:00am, leaving three people, including driver Munna and two female RMG workers, dead on the spot and 30 others injured.
Of the 30 others, the critically injured ones were rushed to a local hospital.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Narayanganj general hospital morgue for autopsy.
Identity of the deceased and injured in the Sirajganj accident were not known  immediately.
Ahmed Farid, officer-in-charge of Solonga police station, said a truck carrying water tanks to Rajshahi from Dhaka lost its control and rammed into a tree in the area around 11:30pm, leaving three people dead and one injured.
The injured was rushed to Sirajganj General Hospital. – Adapted from UNB
