Six officials of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) including students affairs advisor Prof Dr Md Zahirul Haque Khandoker and proctor Prof Dr Md Harun-ur-Rashid on Sunday resigned from their posts as a part of their protest against Vice-Chancellor’s alleged involvement in sexual misconduct.On Sunday morning they submittted their resignation letter to Prof Dr Enamul Haque, secretary of pro-Awami League teachers association ‘Gonotantrik Shikkhok Forum’. Later, he submitted the letters to Registrar of the university.Earlier, 59 teachers of the forum has resigned from their administrative posts additional to teaching.About the resignation, students affairs advisor Prof Dr Md Zahirul Haque Khandoker said, as a member of the forum, I resigned to keep the honour of my organisation.It is to be mentioned that member teachers of Gonotantrik Shikkhok Forum are continuing their protest against VC Prof Dr Rafiqul Haque over his involvment in sexual abuse and corruption in recruitment of staffs in the university.
