7 Bangladeshis detained by BSF along Naogaon border

Naogaon, Nov 5 (UNB) – Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) detained seven Bangladeshi nationals along Hapania border in Porsha upazila early Tuesday.

The victims are Saibur Rahman, 26, son of Jamal Uddin, Atabur Islam, 22, son of Rabu of Rangapukur village, Rezaul Islam, 25, son of Makbul Islam, Bifol Kumar, 30, son of Prafulla Kumar of Kalaibari village, Azad Hossain, 32, son of Lokman Ali, Zahurul Islam, 32, son of Rafiqul Islam, and Hakim Uddin, 36, son of Sabur Uddin of the upazila.

Lt Col AKM Ariful Islam, commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion-16, said the BSF members from Kadaripara camp detained the Bangladeshi nationals while they were returning from India through the main pillar No 231/10 (S) with cattle.

“We’re trying to contact the BSF to bring back them,” he said.
