A 20-day curatorial exhibition titled ‘Inside Out’, by artist Promiti Hossain, will kick off at Kalakendra in the city from Saturday (October 22) evening.The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held at the art space in city’s Mohammadpur area around 6:00pm tomorrow.
Eminent artist Rafiqun Nabi will inaugurate the exhibition while Professor Lalarukh Selim will talk about the exhibition.The exhibition will display 30 Watercolor and mixed media painting of Promiti Hossain.The exhibition is being curated by Wakilur Rahman and Kehkasha Sabah.The art display will remain open for all from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm every day.The solo exhibition will end on November 10, 2016.Promiti Hossain’s works are responses of a woman and her position in the society in contemporary time. Her works are mostly the projection of her anxiety, depression, and experience as a woman.She has also used some biological drawings of cells of flowers, leafs and insects, with accidental effects of ink and brush works to reflect the problematic state of a woman in the society.
