A Chinese citizen was reportedly beaten to death by miscreants at Uposhohor in the district town on Thursday morning.The deceased was identified as Chang Hing Sang, 45, an Easybike (human hauler) dealer in the town. He lived at a rented apartment of Farida Villa located in front of Uposhohor Mohila Degree College in the town.Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Sheikh Elias Hossain said two of the Easybike dealer’s employees – Pervez and Mustafiz, nephew of Parvez – informed police in the morning that Chang went missing.Police detained the duo on suspicion in this connection.Later, based on the information gleaned from the arrested during the primary interrogation, police recovered the body of Chang from his apartment at Farida Villa around 8.30am. The body was sent to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.The OC added that Chang might have been beaten to death.
