Dhaka – Two day-labourers were killed and another was critically injured in a road accident at Pukurpar point in Nitai village under Kishoreganj upazila of Nilphamari district today, police said.The deceased were identified as Zamiar Rahman, 27, son of Kala Mahmud and Abdur Rashid, 27, son of Shamsul Haque of Kabirazpara village in the same upazila.The accident occurred when a potato-laden truck fell down into a roadside pond this morning after the driver lost control over the steering killing the two day-labourers on the spot and injuring another labourer.Being informed, police forces from Kishoreganj Thana and personnel from Kishoreganj Fire Service and Civil Define Station rushed there, recovered the bodies and rescued critically injured labourer Yunus Ali, 30, of nearby Thetheripara village.”Critically injured Yunus Ali has been sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital,” Officer-in-Charge of Kishoreganj Thana Bazlur Rashid said.A case was filed with Kishoreganj Thana in this connection.-BSS
