Dhaka, Jan 8 – Five people, including two women and two children, were killed as a train rammed a private car at Goalbathan level crossing in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur on Sunday morning, UNB newsaency reported.Identities of the deceased could not be confirmed till the filing of this report.
The
officer-in-charge of Kaliakoir Police Station Motaleb Miah said the Kolkata-bound ‘Moitree Express’ train crashed against the private car around 9:06am when it was crossing the rail tracks through the level crossing, leaving four its driver and four passengers dead on the spot.
Informed, police rushed there and started a rescue operation.
