Welcoming the newly enrolled students and urging them to become responsible and to be qualified human beings to serve the humanity, an orientation program for the students of the 2016-17 academic session was held at Rajshahi University (RU) on Tuesday.The event was organised by the Philosophy Department at Momotazudin Arts Faculty Building at 11 am on the campus. The event was conducted by Prof Ruqunuzzaman, associate professor of Philosophy dept and also assistant proctor while Chairman of the dept Prof Dr Asaduzzaman was in the chair.
Prof Dr Sahadat Hossain, Prof Dr Shamima Akter, Prof Dr Altaf Hossian, Prof Dr Nilufar Ahmed, associate Prof Sonda Mollik and concerns officials, among others, addressed on the event.
Speakers at the programme urged newly admitted students to set priorities, face challenges, have persistent attitude and work hard in order to clinch desired success in life.
Highlighting the academic rules and regulations of the university, they asked the students to follow them, and assured of extending all needed cooperation to the new students. – RU Correspondent.
