Rajshahi – The Rajshahi University (RU) has launched a smart-phone app named “RU Contacts” consisting the contact numbers and E-mail IDs of Deans, Teachers, Officials and Officers of the university.University VC Professor Muhammad Mizanuddin inaugurated it at the conference room of the administrative building of the university on Tuesday.
He said, the digitalization and automation has been started at RU as a part of mega-plan of running government of the country using information and communication technology in all sorts of activities. Meanwhile smart-Id card based service has been launched in the admission process, library management, hall management, medical facilities. This will be continued in future, he added.
Pro-VC Professor Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan, Treasurer Professor Saen Uddin Ahmed, Register Professor Muhammad Anthazul Haque, Administrator for Public Relation office Md. Mashiur Rahman, were present at the programme.
This app will be available at the official Facebook page of public administration office of the university and can be installed from it where all sorts of information will be available there. – RU Correspondent
