Rajshahi – Protesting the assault on two students of Rajshahi University (RU) and demanding the safety on campus the students formed a human chain in front Central Library of the university on Wednesday at 10.00am.Students said, we the students of the Rajshahi Universty most often be the victim harassment of locals that scenery is seen in no other campus. Locals beat up the students, snatch away beg, interrupt to playing games in the fields by their influence most of the time.
University administration is keeping silence in this situation. We are here to study with safety. But we are now under a thread of local’s harassment, they added.
Polash and Sujon two students of the Management department of the university were bet up by some Jubo league leaders and activists while crossing their office at Binodpur area (university concerned) without any previous clue. – RU Correspondent
