Dhaka – Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a suspected drug peddler along with 2,300 bottles of Phensidyl syrup at Benapole Bazar at Benapole in Jessore on Wednesday morning.Tipped off that a huge consignment of drugs, smuggled from India, was being transported to Dhaka, a BGB team intercepted a microbus at Benapole Bazar around 8:20am and recovered the Pyensidyl bottles worth Tk 11.50 lakh, said sources at Jessore BGB.The BGB members also arrested a young man, Babu Hossain, from the spot and handed him over to Benapole Port Police Station.UNB news agency
