Dhaka– A court here on Wednesday convicted two people and sentenced them to 10 years’ imprisonment in a robbery case.The court also fined the convicts — Nasir Sheikh, 23, and Nadimuzzaman Nadim, 22, residents of Atlia village in Terokhada upazila, — Tk 10,000 each.They will have to suffer in jail for six months more in default to pay the fine.According to the prosecution, a gang of robbers, including the duo, looted Tk 1.44 lakh from the house of late Shafi Uddin Sheikh on October 22, 2013.Later, a case was filed in this connection.After examining witnesses and records, Additional District and Sessions Judge Md Nurul Amin Biplob pronounced the verdict.UNB news agency
