Dhaka – A Dhaka court on Thursday sentenced a man to life in the prison in connection with the murder of a Korean citizen in November 2011 in Gulshan area.Speedy trial Tribunal-4 Judge Abdur Rahman Sarder passed the order on Thursday. The court also fined convict Manik Sardar, a dish cleaner of Arian Korean Restaurant, Tk 10,000, in default, to suffer another year’s rigorous imprisonment.
According to the case statement, the convict stabbed Rou Jong Sing indiscriminately leaving her critically injured on November 9, 2011. Later, she was shifted to Korea for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries on November 17 of the year.
Perk Jang Siong, the victim’s husband, filed a case with Gulshan Police Station on the day in connection with the murder. – Special Correspondent
