Dhaka – Police pressed charges against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in a defamation case as she allegedly defamed freedom fighters through associating them with war criminals.ABM Moshiur Rahman, Officer-in- Charge (OC), Investigation of Tejgaon Police Station, submitted charge sheet to the Eighth Magistrate Court of Dhaka on February 25. However, the matter was known yesterday (Thursday).
Magistrate Nur Nabi took the charges into cognizance on March 22 and asked BNP Chairperson to appear before the court on June 11. – Special Correspondent
