Man killed in rival attack in C’nawabganj

Dhaka – A man was killed in an attack by his rivals following a dispute over demarcation of a land at Gogla Dihitola village in Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj on Wednesday.SM Zakaria, officer-in-charge of Gomostapur Police Station, said Abu Bakkar, 45, and his neighbour Tota Mia had long been at loggerheads centring demarcation of their dwelling houses’ boundary.On Wednesday morning, an altercation ensued between Abu Bakkar and Tota over the issue. At one stage, Tota hit Abu Bakkar with an iron rod on his head, leaving him critically injured.Later, Abu Bakkar died on his way to hospital.UNB news agency
