Dhaka – Police in a drive recovered two sacks of local weapons from a private hostel on the campus of Chittagong University on Sunday.Belal Uddin Jahangir, officer-in-charge of Hathazari Police Station, said a team of police raided ‘Munaf Cottage’ beside Shah Amanat Hall of the university and recovered homemade sharp weapons, iron rod and hockey sticks, kept in two sacks, in an abandoned condition.The drive was conducted from 12 pm till 3:30 pm, said the OC.However, none was arrested in this connection.UNB news agency
