BGB-BSF border confce in Shilong from Wednesday

Dhaka, July 11 – A border coordination conference between Border Guard Banglsadesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) will begin in Shillong, capital of Indian State Meghalaya on Wednesday.The conference of BGB region commanders and BSF inspectors-general (IGs) will continue until Saturday.
The BGB delegation is being led by additional director-general (region commander Northeast region) Md Latiful Haider, while the BSF is being led by inspector-general Sudesh Kumar of Meghalaya frontier.
Additional director general of BGB M Zahid Hasan will led 23 Bangladesh delegation comprises region commanders of North-East region, Sarail and South-East region, sector commanders of under the three regions, staff officers of BGB headquarters and representatives from the home and Foreign ministries, joint river commission, land record and survey and Department of Narcotics Control and concerned officials.
BSF Tripura Frontier IG Shri U C Sarangi will led 25 member Indian delegation, included the BSF IG Meghalaya, Mizoram and Cachar frontiers, concerned DIGs, as well as staff officers of BSF frontier and sector levels, representatives from the Indian Home and Foreign Ministries and concerned officials will attend the 4-day regional level border conference.
Issues relating to problems along the international border between Bangladesh and India, including shooting dead of Bangladeshi unarmed nationals, detained of Bangladeshi nationals in frontier, illegal trespass, smugglings of narcotics and seductive products, smuggling of firearms and ambition will be main agenda for discussion from the Bangladesh sides, said Public Relation officer of BGB Headquarters Mohsin Reza. – News Desk
