Dhaka-Two suspected muggers sustained bullet wounds during a reported gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in the city’s Azimpur area on Tuesday.Additional Superintendent of police (SP) Mohiuddin of Rab-10 said a special team of the Rab-2 challenged a private car having a sticker of DB police near Azimpur Orphanage Road crossing around 2:30 pm.Sensing danger, the criminals fired gunshots at the Rab members from the car, prompting them to retaliate that triggered a gunfight.At one stage, two muggers–Monir, 40, and Mostafa, 45, were caught in the line of fire that left them injured.They were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Mohiuddin.The elite force members also seized a private car, recovered two pistols along with two bullets from their possessions, added the Rab official.UNB news agency
