A garment factory owner was shot and injured by an alleged local terrorist in the city’s Mirpur area on Monday.Fazlur Rahman Babu, 38, a director of Sirajganj Fashion Ltd, received bullet wounds in the abdomen and right leg.
Farid, fabric-in-charge of the factory, told journalists that local terrorist Mahadi swooped on Babu near his office at a five-storey building at 101/1 Barobagh under Mirpur Police Station around 9:45 am.
Mahadi fired several gunshots targeting Babu and fled the scene, leaving him in a pool of blood, said Farid quoting witnesses. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a critical condition. – UNB
