Dhaka- Police in a drive recovered 4.1 kg heroin from the bank of Padma river at Hakimpur in Sadar upazila on Sunday night.Tipped off that a gang of Indian drug smugglers arrived here by a boat with a big consignment of heroin, a joint team of police and detective branch of police conducted a drive around 10:00 pm, said Idris Ali, officer-in-charge (operation) of Sadar Police Station.
Being chased by the law enforcers, the drug smugglers managed to flee the scene, said Hafiz.Later, police recovered 4.1 kg heroin worth Tk 4.10 crore, he added.A case was filed.UNB news agency
