Sylhet Press club arranged an Iftar Mahfil for the members of Sylhet
Press Club at the Press Club Bhaban at Subidbazar in Sylhet city on
Friday evening. A total of 200 plus-members of Press Club including
editors of local dailies attended the Iftar Mahfil.
A discussion meeting was also held before the Iftar. Presided over by
Ahmed Noor, Bureau Chief of the Daily Kaler Kantho and President of
Sylhet Press Club, the discussion meeting was addressed, among others,
by City Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury, ex City Mayor Badar Uddin Ahmed
Kamran, Central Organising Secretary Of Bangladesh Awami League
Advocate Misbah Uddin Siraj, former MP and Senior Vice President Of
Sylhet District BNP Dildar Hussain Selim, former President of District
Lawyers Association Advocate Emad Ullah Shahidul Islam Shahin, former
President of Sylhet Press Club and Editor of the daily Punnovhumi
Muktabis Un Noor, former President of Sylhet Press Club and Staff

A doa mahfil was also held before the Iftar. -Our Correspondent
In Moulvibazar an Iftar Mahfil was arranged by Moulvibazar Police for
a group of orphan students at Moulvibazar Police Lines office on July
20. A discussion meeting was held on the occasion. The meeting was
addressed by Tufahel Ahmmed, superintendent of police Moulvibazar.
