A mobile court awarded three months imprisonment on Sunday to each of
the two stalkers for sexually harassing two schoolgirls in Gournadi
upazila of Barisal.
The two convicted persons were identified as Mehedi Hasan Roni and
Rajib Hossain.
Police and court sources said Roni and Rajib attacked two schoolgirls
of Class X on their way to Gournadi Model School and tried to sexually
harass them.
Hearing hue and cry of the victims, local people rushed to the spot,
rescued the girls and nabbing the stalkers handed them over to police
at about 11:45 am.
Police placed the two accused stalker before the mobile court led by
Didar E Alam Muhammad Maksud Chowdhury, Gournadi upazila nirbahi
officer in the evening.
The mobile court sentenced each of two accused to 3 months
imprisonment as they confessed their crime. – Our Correspondent
