Police in a drive at Mirzapur in Badalgachhi upazila on Saturday night
arrested two people along with 20 kg hemp.
The arrestees were identified as Hasem Ali, 50, and Akash, 18.
Officer-in-charge of Badalgachhi Police Station Alamgir Hossain said a
team of police, acting on secret information, conducted the drive in
the area around 10pm and seized the hemp after searching a truck.
Later, they arrested Hasem and Akash from the truck.
The arrestees confessed to the police that the hemp was being taken to Dhaka.
