Dhaka- Scholastica Uttara made a flying in both the boys and girls’ groups of the Bubble Gum Under-14 School Handball Tournament that began on Sunday at the Shaheed Capt (retd) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium here.Scholastica Uttara beat Saint Gregory’s High School by 10-7 goals in the boys’ section after dominating first half by 6-2 goals while they outplayed Dhanmondi Tutorials by 8-2 goals in the girls section after leading the first half 4-2.Earlier, Deputy Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association and BCB Director Najib Ahmed inaugurated the tournament, organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF), this afternoon.BHF former vice president Kazi Abdul Hakim and BHF general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor were also present on the occasion.In the day’s other boys match, Sunnydale School beat BAF Shaheen School by 21-9 goals after dominating the first half 9-5.In day’s other girls group matches, Heed International crushed BAF Shaheen College by 15-0 goals after leading the first half 9-0 while Siddeshwari Girls High outplayed South Points School & College by 3-0 goals after leading the first session 2-0. Twelve boys’ and 12 girls’ teams are taking part in the tournament.Participating boys’ teams are: South Point School & College, Heed International, Sunnydale, Dhanmondi Tutorial, Scholastica, Mirpur, Narinda Govt High School, Dhaka Residential Model College, Ideal School & College, Shaheed Police Smriti College, Saint Gregory’s School, BAF Shaheen College and Scholastica Uttara.Girls’ school teams are: Sunnydale, Viqarunnisa Noon School & College, South Point School and College, Dhanmondi Tutorial, Heed International, Shaheed Police Smriti College, Scholastica, Uttara, Scholastica, Mirpur, Shaheed Bir Uttam Anwar College, Kadamtola Purbo Bashabo School & College, Siddeshwari Girls High and BAF Shaheen College.
