Dhaka – A suspected robber was killed and another injured in a ‘gunfight’ with police in Munshipara graveyard area in Rangpur early Thursday.The deceased could not be identified immediately.Tipped off that, a gang of robbers was preparing for committing robbery, a team of police conducted a drive, said Babul Miah, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the robbers opened fire on them, prompting them to retaliate, triggering the gunfight.After the gunfight, two bullet-injured robbers were arrested from the spot.Later, they were taken to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared one dead.UNB news agency
