An inmate of a female student hostel allegedly committed suicide in
Pathanpara area of the city early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Nahida Sultana, 19, daughter of
Shahjahan of Chandail village in Baraigram upazila of Natore.
Owner of Kheya Chhatri Nibas, a hostel of female students, saw the
body of Nahida hanging with the ceiling of her room in the hostel and
informed police at around 10am.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College
Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Relatives of the deceased said Nahida committed suicide failing in the
Higher Secondary Certificate examinations this year. -UNB, Rajshahi
