Police arrested a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami from Khansama
upazila headquarters on Sunday.
The arrested person was identified as Abdul Qadir Siraji, former ameer
of Khansama upazila unit of Jamaat.

Sarkar said at least six people were injured in a clash between
Jamaat-Shibir men and local activists of Awami League when a group of
Jamaat-Shibir activists led by Qadir brought out a procession in
Chourangi area of the upazila on Thursday night.
Later, a case was filed against 45 leaders and activists of
Jamaat-Shibir with Khansama Police Station in this connection.
A team of police conducted a drive in the upazila headquarters on
Sunday noon and arrested him in the case, said the OC.
Earlier, Qadir was released on bail from jail after serving 56 days on
charge of attacking police and obstructing them in performance of
