Dhaka – Police recovered the body of a woman from a septic tank in Chakad village of Naria upazila in Shariatpur on Tuesday morning.The deceased was identified as Iva Akhter, 20, wife of Delwar Choiyal of theupazilaand daughter of Abdul Mannan of Chandipur village in the sameupazila.
Being informed by locals, police with the help of members of local Fire Service and Civil Defence station recovered the body from the septic tank of an under-construction building inthe morning, said Aslam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Naria Police Station.
The victim’s grandmother, however, alleged that Delwar pushed Iva from the roof of the building and dumped the body in the septic tank.
Meanwhile, there were injury marks in the body, said the OC adding that a murder case was filed with the police station in this connection.UNB
